Website Terms of Use
01About these terms
These terms govern your use of the website at settld.global, operated by Settld (Pty) Ltd. By using the site you accept them. They cover the website only: any merchant services we provide are governed by separate written agreements, and any purchases made through a Settld checkout are governed by the applicable terms of sale presented there. Nothing on this site is an offer of payment services, and nothing on it is legal, tax, financial or investment advice.
02Using the site
You may use the site lawfully and for its intended purpose. You may not: attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure; interfere with its operation; scrape, harvest or systematically extract its content or data; misrepresent your identity or affiliation; or use the site to transmit anything unlawful, misleading or harmful. We may suspend or restrict access to protect the site or other users.
03Our content
The content on this site, including text, graphics, design elements and the Settld name and marks, belongs to us or our licensors. You may view, download and print pages for your own internal purposes. Any other reproduction, distribution or use, including use of our name or marks, requires our prior written consent.
04Insights and published content
Articles and other content we publish reflect our views and the position at their stated date. Laws, rates, thresholds and market conditions change. We do not update every article as they do, and you must not rely on published content as advice or as a current statement of law. Take your own advice on your own facts.
05The charge-query service
The page at settld.global/charge lets consumers ask us to identify or resolve a charge. Information you submit there is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Never submit full card numbers, PINs, passwords or one-time passcodes through the site; we will never ask for them. Using the charge-query service does not limit any right you have to raise a dispute through your bank or payment provider.
06Availability and warranties
The site is provided as is and as available. We work to keep it accurate, secure and running, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components, and we may change or withdraw any part of it at any time.
07Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or its content, including reliance on published content. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability, or any consumer right, that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
08Third-party links
Where the site links to third-party sites, we do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their treatment of your information.
09Privacy
Our processing of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy at settld.global/legal/privacy-policy and our Cookie Policy at settld.global/legal/cookie-policy.
10Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version, with its effective date, is the one that applies. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.
11Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from use of the site.
